HOW DO I CHANGE MY MAJOR OR DECLARE A MAJOR IF I'M UNDECLARED?

Effective Monday, September 17, 2012, baccalaureate degree students (excluding Thompson School) will be able to request a change of major/option or add a second major/option within their own college using an online process in Webcat.

Students must file a Change of Program Form if they are changing their major outside of their college. 

You must obtain all required signatures in the following order:

• Advisor/s
• Current Dean of college (University Advising Center if changing from, to, or within the College of Liberal Arts).
• New Advisor/s
• New college Dean

Pick-up records from current advisor/s and personally deliver to new advisor/s.

If you are applying for a second major or dual degree, you must have signatures of both advisors in both Departments.  If the second major or dual degree is across college lines, the dean in both college must approve and the new dean is the approving member.

NOTE:  Students must complete at least 160 credit hours to receive a Dual Degree.
