Incomplete Grades (IC)

When can I do an Incomplete Grade (IC)?

Students unable to complete their assigned coursework may request an incomplete grade through their instructor.  If the instructor agrees, the student must follow the guidelines below to resolve the incomplete.  Incomplete grades unresolved by the deadlines listed below will result in a grade of "F".

Extensions of the deadline must be approved by the Student's Dean and will ONLY be granted for extraordinary, non-academic reasons.  Extension length varies depending on circumstances (usually end of semester.

Extensions of the deadline must be approved by either the Graduate School (for degree students), or Judy Spiller (for non-degree students).

If an instructor is giving a student an 'IC" they must fill out an  “Incomplete/Administrative F” form and send it to the Registrar's Office, Stoke Hall promptly.
