Psychology major Nicole Guenard is a past recipient of the Haslerud Award. More recently, Nicole has pursued her interest in the impact that advertising has on the way people think. She worked under the mentorship of Prof. Ellen Cohn on a project that looked at how advertisements affect attitudes towards rape. |
Undergraduate Awards for Majors
Each year the faculty chooses psychology undergraduates as the recipients of the following awards:
The Herbert A. Carroll Award
Given to an outstanding senior in psychology.
The George M. Haslerud Award
Given to an outstanding junior in psychology.
The Fuller Foundation Scholarship
Given to an outstanding junior in psychology with demonstrated interests in clinical psychology.
Psychology majors with at least a 3.20 grade-point average are eligible for these awards. Faculty nominate students from the eligibility list and final selection of recipients is made by vote of the full-time psychology faculty.
