The FOX News Republican Primary Debate

On September 5, 2007, The University of New Hampshire hosted the FOX News Republican Primary Debate in the Whittemore Center Arena. The debate was the highest-rated debate at that point in the election cycle with 3.14 million total viewers. More than 150 members of the media accessed the Press Filing Center, including representatives from CNN, the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, Newsweek, the New York Times, USA Today, TIME, National Public Radio and the Washington Post.

PEP worked with departments from theacross campus and external vendors to transform the Whittemore Center into a full-service television production venue for the debate, as well as broadcasting Special Report with Brit Hume. The multiactivity courts in the Hamel Recreation Center were used for the Press Filing Center and Spin Alley and to broadcast the post-debate edition of Hannity and Colmes.
