Model United Nations wins Distinguished Delegation Award AND Best Paper Award! 4/9/12
UNH Model United Nations team was awarded an “Distinguished Delegation Award” for their representation of The Republic of Tanzania at the National Model United Nations in New York last week. Two students also won an award for “The Best Paper” on “The Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty.” This is the third time in the last four years we have won awards. This award indicates that they are in the top 10% of the approximately over 300 schools attending. Here is a link to the award listings http://www.nmun.org/ny12_downloads/2012%20Award%20Posting%20(Marriott).pdf. The participating students are listed below. In addition, to participating in the conference, the group spent three hours at the Tanzanian Mission to the United Nations. More than 5,000 delegates, half from outside the US, participated in the conference that is sponsored by the National Collegiate Conference Association (NCCA).
