The Rudy Dusek Essay Prize in Philosophy of Art

Rudy Dusek was a prominent commercial artist with broad interests in the arts and philosophy. His professional career was as Art Director at J. Walter Thompson Co., for whom he composed artwork for many prominent clients. He was also a watercolorist, specializing in landscapes. He had broad interests in the psychology of creativity in art and in science. He studied color and theories of color, and constructed his own theory of the pallets of the great artists.
