In Memoriam: Paul F. Verrette
LEE — Paul F. Verrette, 79, of Lee, died suddenly Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, while vacationing in Maine with his family.
He was born July 25, 1930, in Dover, the son of George and Mary (Casey) Verrette, and was educated in Dover schools. Paul graduated from the University of New
Hampshire in 1952, and later received his master's degree in musicology from Boston University.
Paul taught for more than 35 years in the UNH music department, and was associate professor emeritus of music.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Frances Verrette; three sons, Paul G., Mark L., and J. Christopher; daughter-in-law, Hallie Fishel-Verrette; and granddaughter Eleanor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Paul Verrette be made to The Paul Verrette Memorial Fund for Music. Checks should be made payable to The UNH Foundation, in memory of Paul Verrette, c/o Elliott Alumni Center, 9 Edgewood Road, Durham, NH 03824.
