Giuseppe Verdi’s three act Opera performed by Teatro Lirico D’Europa, a fully staged production with live orchestra and English supertitles.   Abduction, seduction, betrayal, and murder are all packed into this story.

Returning to UNH, the touring Teatro Lirico D’Europa has gained an international reputation for its traditional productions and fully-voiced singers. This “Rigoletto” should satisfy the most discriminating opera buff – and introduce the emotion of opera to anyone.

A story of love, betrayal, revenge and tragic irony, “Rigoletto” marked the turning point of Giuseppe Verdi’s masterful transformation of Italian opera. Music and action are perfectly integrated; each character maintains a complex individuality, even as the music weaves to its dramatic conclusion.
