Events listed in BLUE are brought to you specifically by the Parents Association and are support by the contributions from parents to the Parents Fund. Other events are generously sponsored by the departments presenting the events in coordination with Family Weekend.

Special Family Weekend Dinner for Families featuring Parent recipes at the fabulous Holloway Commons. $8.00 per person, pay at the door, students can use their meal plans.5:00pm to 8:00pm

Parents Association sponsored University BBQ Picnic catered by Muddy River Marketplace; held at the Whittemore Center indoors & on the outdoor concourse. A fun time for the whole family – all are welcome! Menu features Pulled Pork Sandwiches and BBQ Chicken Quarters with all the fixin’s.Picnic Tickets need to be purchased thru the MUB ticket office between Sept. 1 and Sept. 17. $10.00 each for adults, $4.00 for children 12 & under.
Tickets on the Day of the picnic - $13.00 each.
A limited number of additional picnic tickets will be available at a cost of $13.00 per ticket for adults. Tickets will be available at the Friday evening Parents Association Info. table and at the Picnic on Saturday. Cash or checks only.
As this is a catered event, we can not accept UNH Meal Plans for students. All picnic attendees must purchase a ticket. Picnic held rain or shine.

NH Author’s Series presents author Mary Lyn Ray, children’s author and illustrator. Ms. Ray will be interviewed by Rebecca Rule. Free parking is available in commuter or faculty/staff lots WEEKDAYS after 6:30pm until 6:30am and ALL DAY ON WEEKENDS. Lot A – Charges $5.00 for parking on Saturday, Sept. 26 due to the football game. Parking is free after 2pm that day.Visitors are NOT allowed to park at designated Resident Lots (All Residence Halls, Gables, Woodside, E/E1, West Edge, Forest Park & Mast Road lots). These lots are sold to capacity, have a strict 24/7 permit policy and cannot accommodate visitors.
Handicap Parking:
There are 160 handicap parking spaces scattered all over campus. To use them, you must display a current Handicap Permit (state placard) AND a UNH-issued permit (student, faculty/staff, visitor, temp, or whatever is appropriate). UNH does not issue handicap permits, permanent or temporary. State-issued handicap plates and/or placards are required in all UNH handicap spaces. Handicap spaces are first come first served. Use of state-issued plates or placards requires an accompanying UNH-issued permit (which a handicap student would have) appropriate for the lot where the student parks.View events from Family Weekend 2008 »
