Oxfam Hunger Banquet

Friday, February 27th at 7pm in the MUB Granite State Room

The Oxfam America Hunger Banquet is a metaphor for how food and resources are distributed in the world. It illustrates that hunger is not a case of too many people and too little food, but rather that our planet produces enough food to feed every man, woman, and child. It is the unequal distribution of this food and resources such as education, health care, and shelter that causes poverty and hunger. Guests at the Oxfam America Hunger Banquet will take part in an interactive experience and will leave with a better understanding of hunger and what they can do to change these injustices. All money from ticket sales will be donated to help create change and end world hunger.
