Life Cycle of a Grant

The Life Cycle of a Grant is a phase-by-phase overview of the proposal and award processes, from finding funding sources through closing awards and audit. Each phase contains contact links to key personnel involved and links to forms and resources.

PI/PD Responsibilities *New 9/30/2009*

This module introduces Principal Investigators (PIs) and Project Directors (PDs) to their roles and responsibilities for administering and conducting sponsored projects at UNH. From applying for funding to managing awards, the process is guided by federal, state, sponsor and UNH regulations and policies. The purpose of this module is to familiarize PIs/PDs with this environment.

Estimating Costs for and Developing Sponsored Programs Proposal Budgets *New 10/02/2009*

This module introduces Principal Investigators (PIs) and Project Directors (PDs) to estimating costs for, and developing, sponsored programs proposal budgets at UNH. The purpose of this module is to familiarize PIs/PDs with the process, which is guided by federal, sponsor and UNH regulations and policies. The information in this module should be supplemented by the specific budget and financial instruction information provided by the sponsor to which the proposal will be submitted.

Introduction to Grants.gov

A workshop highlighting the basics of grants.gov, including what is grants.gov, finding funding opportunities, downloading and basics of preparing an application package, interacting electronically with OSR, submitting a proposal, and up-to-date tips and hints for using grants.gov "painlessly."
