H. Projects Combining Disparate Award Purposes

As in projects that combine on- and off-campus components, proposals that mix activities, such as a research project with a conference component, should budget those different activities separately if they would ordinarily require the application of different F&A rates. In the proposal budget narrative, the PI/PD should explain what part of the activity goes with which rate.
