There is a mandatory health insurance fee for graduate students. When budgeting, add the prevailing amount to the tuition amount, and apply appropriate inflation factors. (See OSR’s Website for current rates and inflation factors.) The health insurance fee should be pro-rated in the same proportion as the stipend and tuition if the student will work on more than one project, such that each project will receive its proportional benefit. As with tuition itself, the fee is exempt from F&A charges.
