UNH has adopted the federal government’s definition of equipment as an article of non-expendable, tangible personal property having a useful life of more than one year and an acquisition cost of $5000 or more. Equipment is categorized into four types:

  1. Special Purpose Equipment
  2. General Purpose Equipment
  3. Fabricated Equipment
  4. Computer Software
