In the course of research collaborations, whether a sponsored program is involved or not, PIs/PDs may be asked by an external partner to enter into a confidentiality agreement or a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) restricting access to certain information, products, techniques, etc.

When entering into discussions with external partners that will involve a confidentiality agreement or NDA, the PI/PD must work through the UNH Office for Research Partnerships and Commercialization (ORPC). ORPC will negotiate on behalf of UNH and the PI/PD, and sign agreements as appropriate. (As employees of UNH, PIs/PDs are not permitted to sign such agreements themselves.)
