G. Material Transfers

PIs/PDs planning to share materials (that may be developed in the course of a sponsored project) with a non-UNH entity other than the sponsor are responsible for submitting a request to the Office for Research Partnerships and Commercialization (ORPC) for preparation of a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) between UNH and the outside entity.

Examples of materials include assay materials, monoclonal antibodies, cell lines, mouse strains, plant varieties, technical data, software, confidential information, integrated circuit designs, and blueprints.

Similarly, for materials to be received from a non-UNH entity other than the sponsor, PIs/PDs must contact ORPC as the official UNH party to negotiate and sign MTAs from external entities.
