| A. Scholarly Misconduct
UNH Policy on Misconduct in Scholarly Activity UNH has an obligation to promote and sustain public confidence in the value of its research and scholarly activities. To this end, UNH has a policy on Misconduct in Scholarly Activity. PIs/PDs are expected to conduct themselves so as to comply with this policy. Scholarly misconduct, according to UNH policy, is defined as " fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism in proposing, performing, or reviewing scholarly activities, or in reporting results from scholarly activities” and "retaliation of any kind against a person who has brought forth an allegation of misconduct or who has provided information about a suspected case of misconduct.” The policy describes procedures for reporting alleged misconduct, conducting inquiries and investigations into allegations, communicating findings, and imposing sanctions. The policy also describes the grievance process for those who believe they have been wrongfully accused of misconduct. Web-based Training on Misconduct in Scholarly Activity PIs/PDs can learn more about the UNH policy and other issues regarding misconduct by reviewing UNH’s Web-based module on Misconduct in Scholarly Activity. |
