III. Conduct and Compliance

The third major area of responsibility for PIs/PDs with regard to sponsored projects is conduct and compliance. PIs/PDs are responsible for ensuring that the conduct of sponsored projects adheres to all research and scholarly activity integrity policies, regulations, and guidelines. (Responsible PI/PD fiduciary and administrative conduct is covered in section II.)
