When an award is received by UNH, the PI/PD assumes certain responsibilities for financial, administrative, and programmatic management. This section explains the following aspects of these responsibilities:

  1. Award Terms and Conditions
  2. Expense Initiation and Management
  3. Reporting to Sponsors
  4. Effort Certification
  5. Project Close Out
  6. Post Award
Note: PIs/PDs are responsible for ensuring that the conduct of sponsored projects adheres to all research and scholarly activity integrity regulations, policies, and guidelines. Although these responsibilities are outlined for presentation purposes in a subsequent section on Conduct and Compliance, PIs/PDs must address them throughout the life of a sponsored project.
