PI/PD Responsibilities Module (9/30/09)

OSR has developed a new resource entitled PI/PD Responsibilities, available at http://www.unh.edu/osr/training/pi_pd_responsibilities. This module introduces Principal Investigators (PIs) and Project Directors (PDs) to their roles and responsibilities for administering and conducting sponsored projects at UNH. From applying for funding to managing awards, the process is guided by federal, state, sponsor and UNH regulations and policies. The purpose of this module is to familiarize PIs/PDs with this environment.

Fall 2009 Semester Vertebrate Animal Care Training Sessions

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Animal Resources Office (ARO), and Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) will offer a training session on two occasions this semester for personnel involved with vertebrate animal care and/or use: Tuesday, October 20, 12:40 – 1:30 p.m., Spaulding G26, and Thursday, October 29, 12:40 – 1:30 p.m., Spaulding G26. This training repeats that offered in previous semesters. Information is available at

IACUC Application Forms Revised (8/26/09)

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) has revised its application forms. Effective for submissions for review at the October 2009 IACUC meeting, only applications using the revised (August 2009) version of the forms will be accepted. Applications using prior versions of the form will be returned. The forms are available on the IACUC website at

NSF makes changes in proposal preparation and policies to start in January 2009 [10/14/08)

The National Science Foundation has issued a revised version of the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG, NSF 09-1) that will be effective for proposals received on or after January 5, 2009. A Summary of Significant Changes is posted with the new Grant Proposal Guide (GPG).
