limited submission programs

Recovery Act (ARRA / Stimulus Bill) Funding Opportunities:

Because of the nature of the programs and the short response time provided in many cases, most of these LSPs will be handled as institutionally coordinated proposals.

Please share your interest in submitting a proposal to a particular funding opportunity with the SVPR and find out how that selection of proposals for that program will be handled.

Also, share your interest with the research liaison for your unit so they can help coordinate collaborations.(Click HERE for a list of the liaisons)

List of Programs with Limits on Submissions (LSPs)
Funding opportunities that have limits set by the sponsor on how many proposals may be submitted by UNH.

Standardized procedures have been implemented to facilitate a fair and strategic
University-wide process to select the proposals to be submitted to these programs.

(1) Selection of the proposals for the National Endowment to the Humanities (NEH) Summer Stipend program is conducted by the Center for the Humanities.
Refer to the NOTE associated with the program description in the List of LSPs.

(2) State-wide competition for the NSF EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement program (EPSCOR RII) is conducted by the NH EPSCoR office.
Refer to the NOTE associated with the program description in the List of LSPs.

(3) Internal competitions for programs of high interest will be announced by the Senior Vice Provost for Research (SVPR) via an email that will contain the deadlines and details of the competition.

These programs include (but are not limited to) the following:

*
NSF Major Research Instrumentation (MRI)
*
NSF Integrated Graduate Education & Research Training (IGERT)
*
NSF Partnerships for Research & Education (PIRE)
*
DoD Defense Experimental Program to Strengthen Competitiveness in Research (DEPSCoR)

The "special competition" status of these programs is indicated by a NOTE below the program URL in the List of LSPs.

(4) For all other sponsors/programs, please indicate your interest in applying by sending a 1-2 page summary of your intended project to the SVPR no later than 2 months before the sponsor's deadline.

In addition to the summary, please provide the sponsor's name, specific program name, deadline date, and a URL for the program guidelines (or attach a copy of the guidelines).

If more PIs indicate interest than the number of proposals allowed, the SVPR and an Advisory Committee will make strategic choices re: which proposals will go forward from UNH.

If it is past the internal deadline (i.e., within 2 months of the sponsor's deadline),
contact the SVPR to see if there are any remaining openings.
