The
council voted to approve the October minutes.
Friday,
November 9 is the ending date for the Open enrollment for benefits. All forms
need to be in to HR on the 9th.
TIAA-CREF
representatives will be holding an evening session on campus on Wed. Nov. 14 from
6:30-8:30 pm. For more information and
to register call Sarah Sutherland at 1-800-842-2004. The session is open to all staff and faculty.
Dan
Reid spoke about what the faculty senate is currently working on. They are involved with the University’s
Academic Strategic Plan and are working on an action plan for the goals listed
in the Strategic Plan. Also the senate
is trying to build a sense of community around the campus. The Senate will be hosting a series of
afternoon lunches with other faculty members to get to know one another and see
what other departments are doing. Dan
also discussed the proposed smoking & transportation polices as common
issues for both the faculty senate and OS council.

is currently working on updating the OS Council Web site. If you have any ideas

Sharon
will be sending out the OS council ballots for the new year.
The
December meeting will consist of accepting the nominees and election of a
chair, vice-chair and a recorder.
