minutes approved
Sharon
started the meeting and introduced 5 prospective members to the
Council. They would be voted in August if they choose
to serve on the council.
Pay
Transition – 8 informational meetings were scheduled on campus to inform
Operating Staff of the changes. 150
people attended the meetings.
Salaries. He feels the council should have input into
how the raises are decided.
Could
get some input from other campuses, Keene, etc. Merit and equity portions are
another area to focus on. Possibly get feedback from out constituents on Merit
raises.
Committee
is being formed-need to check with David Butler on status.
Pick
an area on campus and say thank-you – council would send out a letter to that
Area,
dept. Will start in August and brainstorm for ideas, suggestions.
Was
overwhelming- 5 prospective members visited our June meeting.
Committee Reports:
Compensation & Benefits-Ginette -still waiting to hear for meeting to be scheduled, still getting feedback from constituents on sick leave pool. Will look into getting more info
on
raises (ATB, equity & merit).
Possibly have an orientation for employees after 2, 3 or 5 years to
check on our benefits.
Communications
– Flora- committee hasn’t met, still working on OS web site.
