OMSA Open House for LGBTQA Students:
Welcoming Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, & Ally 1st Year Students

Sunday, August 25, 2013
4:00 - 6:00pm, OMSA/MUB 327

Join us as we welcome new students to UNH! Meet other first year student and returning students, and learn about the Alliance [LGBTQA+] student organization, UNH Safe Zones, and other resources at UNH. Refreshments will be provided!

Welcoming Middle Eastern/Middle Eastern American, Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander, Black/African American/African/Caribbean, Latino(a)/Hispanic, Native American/First Nations/Indigenous, Biracial, Multiracial, Multicultural 1st Year Students

Join us as we welcome new students to UNH! Meet other first year student and returning students, and learn about the Diversity Support Coalition student organizations, including the Black Student Union, United Asian Coalition, Native American Cultural Association, MOSIACO [Latino & Hispanic] student organizations, as well as DXP Multicultural Sorority, Indian Student Association, Korean Student Association, and National Society of Black Engineers. Refreshments will be provided!

 

LGBTQA Garden Party: Welcome Reception for LGBTQ & Ally Students, Staff, and Faculty

4:30 – 6:30pm, Paul College Courtyard [Outside, on the side near Health Services]
Rain Location: MUB Strafford Room

An annual UNH community tradition, the Garden Party is a Welcome Reception for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Allied students, staff, and faculty together with our families and friends. A great time for socializing, reconnecting, and making new connections! Bring a friend and join us for food, friendship, and a warm welcome to the new academic year! ~ Everyone is welcome! ~ Co-sponsored by the President’s Commission on the Status of GLBT Issues, UNH Alliance, Diversity Support Coalition student organizations, Dean’s Office of the Graduate School, Office of the Vice President for Student and Academic Services, Vice Provost Office for Inclusive Excellence, Women’s Studies Program, Queer Studies Minor, and the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs.

 

UNITY Reception: Welcome Reception for Multicultural Students, Staff, and Faculty

5:00 – 7:00 pm, MUB Granite State Room

An annual UNH community tradition, the UNITY Reception is a welcome reception for Middle Eastern/Middle Eastern American, Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander, Black/African American/African/Caribbean, Latino(a)/Hispanic, Native American/First Nations/Indigenous, Biracial, Multiracial, Multicultural students, staff, faculty, family, friends and allies. Come learn about campus and regional resources serving the UNH community; and join us for an afternoon of fun, music, and food from around the globe! ~ All are welcome! ~ Co-sponsored by the President’s Commission on the Status of People of Color, Diversity Support Coalition student organizations: Black Student Union, United Asian Coalition, Mosaico, Hillel, Alliance, Native American Cultural Association; Vice Provost Office for Inclusive Excellence, Affirmative Action and Equity Office, Dean’s Office of the Graduate School, Office of the Vice President for Student and Academic Services, and the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs.
