OMSA Open House: Welcoming Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, & Ally 1st Year Students

Join us as we welcome new students to UNH! Meet other first year student and returning students, and learn about the LGBTQ organizations. Refreshments will be provided!

Diversity Week Opening Address ft. EnMotion (DSC Diversity Week Event)

We will kick-off Diversity Week with an introduction to the Diversity Support Coalition and its member groups. Come check out what we have planned for the next year and hear more about diversity on campus from UNH faculty and staff. And, back by popular demand, dance crew EnMotion will be performing.

Jewish and Queer: A Workshop on Jewish and LGBTQ+ Identities (DSC Diversity Week Event)

Facilitated by Marla Brettschneider, a professor at UNH, this workshop will discuss the Jewish identity, LGBTQ+ identities, and where they intersect. This workshop is great for anyone looking to learn more about any of these identities as well as what it means to identify as both LGBTQ+ and Jewish.

Asia through Art (DSC Diversity Week Event)

This fun-filled workshop will be showcasing various arts and skills from various Asian countries, ranging from Chinese to Indian. It will include food demonstrations such as Vietnamese Spring Rolls to traditional Indian tattoos—Henna.

Bridging the Gap (DSC Diversity Week Event)

This workshop will use song, dance, and food to demonstrate the cultural differences and similarities between Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Short Film Festival (DSC Diversity Week Event)

Join us for a film festival featuring five short films chosen by each of our member groups. These films will continue our discussion of identity and our celebration of diversity.

Show Your Glow (DSC Diversity Week Event)

We will finish off our week of events with a glow-in-the-dark themed dance party. The party will include a guest appearance by local band and student organization ASUM.

A UNH community tradition, the Garden Party is a Welcome Reception for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning and Allied students, staff, and faculty together with our families and friends! A great time for socializing, reconnecting, and making new connections. UNITY Reception: Welcome Reception for students, staff, and faculty of color
