7th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Summit
Friday-Sunday, February 22-24, 2008
Camp Merrowvista, Center Tuftonboro, NH

Named in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the MLK Leadership Summit is a two and a half day leadership development program that allows students to build multicultural competencies and to expand their understanding of leadership and community activism through a social justice lens. Each year on the last weekend of February, 30 to 35 student participants work to increase their awareness and knowledge of multiple social issues and identifications that include-but are not limited to-ability, age, ethnicity, gender, geographic origin, national origin, race, religious and/or spiritual tradition, sexual orientation, and socio-economic class. These critical issues are explored in a safe environment that promotes growth, reflection, thought-provoking experiences, community building, and honest dialogue. The King Summit is FREE and open to all current full-time undergraduate students. For more information, and to apply, go to: www.unh.edu/omsa/leadership.htm
