Services
Our activities and services to international students and scholars cover a broad spectrum, which begin before the international visitor arrives on campus and often continue past the completion of their program, including:
- Preparation of eligibility documents for visa issuance along with pre-arrival instructions and information
- Preparation of applications to the U.S. immigration service to secure appropriate work authorization visas for international faculty and staff
- In-depth orientation programs for new students and scholars, covering a wide variety of issues, such as immigration rights and responsibilities; adjusting to life in another culture; working in the U.S.; adapting to the U.S. educational system; area attractions and services; and much more.
- A variety of educational programs, such as immigration and employment workshops, an annual tax workshop, and career oriented seminars.
Although we work closely with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and with the Graduate School, we do not play a role in the admissions process itself. Prospective students should contact these offices directly.
