The Student Code of Conduct and Judicial Process
Preface
Community standards of behavior are intended to preserve and protect the University’s educational mission of teaching, research, and public service, as well as promote every student’s academic achievement and personal development. To attain these aspirations, students must live, work, and learn in an evironment of civility and respect where both rights and responsibilities are deeply valued and highly cherished. For the University community to thrive, the rules of conduct under which we operate must be clear and understood by our members. The Student Code of Conduct attempts to codify and explain our standards of behavior and responsibility, as well as the rights and remedies accorded to all members of our community.
