Our Trips
Are you looking to do something different this summer? Want an adventure to kick-start your college experience? Come on an NHOC Freshman Trip, meet amazing people and have of fun in the great outdoors!
The Leaders: All NHOC trips are led by qualified leaders who are current UNH students. All leaders have completed a rigorous training curriculum including Wilderness First Aid ceritfication, the acclaimed and intensive NHOC leadership training weekend, a defensive driving course, and at least 72 hours of assitant leading.
Why Should You Come? To make friends with other incoming freshmen and the trip leaders while informally learning the ins and outs of UNH. It is also a great way to get into the outdoors for a week, to break the monotony of summer work, and to relax before school begins.
Something for Everyone: Our trips include backpacking, factory touring, canoeing, and kayaking. We accomodate all ability levels; in fact most trips require no prior experience at all.
Following the Trips: On the night of August 25th, each trip will spend the night at Boulder Field on the UNH campus. This enables all the trips to come together and the freshmen participants to socialize over a pizza feast. In the morning, the move-in process begins.
The Next Trip Sign Ups are in September 2008.
