The New Hampshire
Outing Club

Freshmen Trips

For incoming freshmen, the New Hampshire Outing Club leads outdoor trips. Trips typically last a week, and you would return to campus the night before freshman move-in. All trips spend the last night together on Boulder Field. The trips are led by club leaders, and are usually focused around backpacking, canoeing or rock climbing. If you are interested, take a look at our brochure below.

Prospective Members

So you're interested in joining the coolest club on campus? The New Hampshire Outing Club offers UNH students a chance to get off campus and have fun. The club does more than just hike; we also go sledding (extreme sledding that is) skydiving, skiing, surfing, and more!

Joining the club is as simple as showing up to signups! These are held on the first Tuesday of every month in the Strafford Room in the MUB unless announced otherwise. The club typically leads trips to the White Mountains, where it owns two cabins (Franconia Notch State Park and Jackson, NH).
