DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire Advising and Career Center, (UACC) invites employers to participate in a career and internship fair Thursday, April 6, 2006, for students of all majors.

The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Granite State Room, Memorial Union Building.

The career fair offers employers an opportunity to meet and interview undergraduate and graduate students interested in attaining summer internship opportunities and seniors who are looking for jobs upon graduation in May. More than 400 students are expected to attend. Employers will also have the opportunity to meet with faculty who attend the event to learn more about industry trends and staffing needs.

“UNH students maintain hectic academic and work schedules throughout the year and with classes coming to a close and graduation looming in May, many students will make time in their schedules to attend the fair, eager to solidify their summer plans,” said Bethany Cooper, manager of employer relations and recruiting at UACC.

Students develop resumes and interviewing skills in preparation for the job and internship search process at career seminars sponsored by UACC.

Employers interested in recruiting UNH students at the fair and future events can contact Becky Shost at (603) 862-3488 or rashost@cisunix.unh.edu for more information.
