DURHAM, N.H. -- NH Sea Grant will hold the first in a series of Fisheries Roundtable discussions
on Wednesday, February 8, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Urban Forestry Center in Portsmouth. The talk
is free and open to the public.
Dr. Win Watson, professor of zoology at the University of New Hampshire, will discuss
the migration of egg-bearing female lobsters. Dr. Richard Wahle, a research scientist with the
Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, will lead a discussion about the threat of shell disease
in New England lobsters. Discussion topics for the series were chosen with input from local commercial
fishermen.
