DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire's Advising
and Career Center UACC) invites employers to participate in a Feb.
9 career and internship fair for students in business, liberal arts
and health programs.
The career fair will be held at the UNH Memorial Union B uilding
in Durham from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This targeted career fair offers
employers an opportunity to meet and interview undergraduate and
graduate students interested in attaining internship experience
and jobs upon graduation. More than 400 students are expected to
attend. Employers will have the opportunity to meet with faculty
who attend the event to learn more about industry trends and staffing
needs.
In addition to the fair, UNH will hold an MBA Networking Luncheon
for interested companies from noon to 2 p.m. at UNH Holloway Commons
in Durham. In April 2005, U.S. News & World Report ranked the
Whittemore School of Business and Economics among the top 100 MBA
programs in the country. In addition to part-time and executive
MBA programs, the Whittemore School has a one-year, full-time MBA
program, made up of 32 high-achieving honors students who will graduate
in June.
“UNH students are eager to line up opportunities at local
and national organizations,” says Bethany Cooper, manager
of employer relations and recruiting at UACC. “The job search
process seems to begin earlier and earlier each year. Graduating
seniors are focused on landing a job offer now for May, while younger
students are eager to find ‘real world’ experience in
the form of summer internships.”
Employers interested in recruiting UNH students at this fair and
future events are invited to contact Becky Shost at 603-862-3488
or rashost@cisunix.unh.edu
for more information.
