Vie For Holloway Business Plan Prize May 4

DURHAM, N.H. – Outstanding business students at the Whittemore
School of Business and Economics will vie for the Paul J. Holloway
Business Plan Prize Wednesday, May 4, 2005. The competition, which
was established 17 years ago by Holloway's family to honor the Exeter
business leader's entrepreneurial spirit by stimulating and recognizing
outstanding business plans, will be held at Holloway Commons. The
event is free and open to the public.
The annual competition awards prizes to undergraduate and graduate
students who develop the most realistic plans for starting, acquiring
or expanding a business venture in each of two tracks: high growth
ventures and lifestyle ventures. The competition begins at 8 a.m.
in the Piscataqua and Squamscott rooms. Undergraduate and graduate
presentations will run concurrently. The undergraduate and graduate
business plan winners will receive $4,000, with runners-up awarded
$900.
A luncheon and awards presentation follows at noon in the Huddleston
Ballroom. A $25 donation is requested. Call 603-862-0017 to make
