UNH's Sororities, Fraternities
Take Honors at Regional Conference

DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire sororities and
fraternities took the Northeast Greek Leadership Association by
storm recently, bringing home more than a dozen awards and honorable
mentions. The conference, held in Philadelphia, Pa., drew more
than 830 participants from 88 campuses representing all 10 states
within the Northeast region.
UNH’s Interfraternity Council (IFC), which represents nine
fraternities, received seven Program Excellence Awards for academic
achievement, council management, leadership and educational development,
public relations, philanthropy and community service, membership
recruitment and risk reduction and management. The university’s
Panhellenic Council (PC), which represents five sororities, received
awards for academic achievement, council management, leadership
and educational development, public relations and philanthropy
and community service.
The following members of the UNH Greek community received individual
honorable mentions: Matt Travaglini, IFC president 2003, for Greek
Leader of Distinction; Cassidy Loew, PC president 2003, for Greek
Leader of Distinction; Stephen Pappajohn, coordinator of Greek
Affairs at UNH, for the Phillipi IFC Advising Award.

UNH continues to lead the northeast region in major programming
areas,” says Pappajohn. “It reflects proudly on our
institution and the community.”
