DURHAM, N.H. -- Alumni from UNH and Dartmouth College are invited
to take part in a friendly competition to support the Red Cross
as it strives to save lives.
On Saturday, Dec. 18, alumni from both schools will try to donate
more blood than alumni from the other school. The donation location
will be the New Hampshire Red Cross Blood Center, 425 Reservoir
Ave., Manchester. The school that donates the most blood will
be announced at the UNH vs. Dartmouth men’s hockey pre-game
reception on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the Center of New Hampshire
Holiday Inn, Manchester.
The winning school will be based on the percentage of alumni population
from the Manchester area who give blood on Dec. 18 at the Manchester
Red Cross office.
As an added incentive, the first 25 blood donors will receive a
pair of tickets to the pre-game reception and UNH vs. Dartmouth
men’s hockey game. The reception will be held from 5 to 6:30
p.m. at the Center of New Hampshire Holiday Inn, 700 Elm St. Manchester,
and the game will begin at 7 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena
in Manchester.
To register or for more information, please contact the New Hampshire
Red Cross at
