DURHAM, N.H.– UNH's Upward Bound program announces the sponsoring
of the USDA Summer Food Service Program for Children administered
by the state Department of Education. The Summer Food Service Program
will significantly contribute to the cost of meals for all Upward
Bound students.
Ninety high-school students from the Seacoast, Manchester, and
North Country areas of New Hampshire have been selected to participate
in UNH's Upward Bound summer program funded by the U.S. Department
of Education. At least two-thirds of Upward Bound participants'
families meet federal “low income” criteria. Meals will
be provided regardless of color, race, sex, age, national origin
or disability.
UNH's Upward Bound program is one of over 700 Upward Bound programs
nationwide that assists eligible high school students with achieving
their dreams of being successful in higher education. For more information,
