DURHAM, N.H. – April Lindner, award-winning poet and assistant
professor of English at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia,
will read from her work Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at 5:30 p.m. in
Ham-Smith 129, at the University of New Hampshire. Lindner will
also sign copies of her work, which will be available for sale.
Sponsored by the UNH English Department’s Writers Series,
the lecture is free and open to the public.
In addition to receiving the 2001 Walt McDonald First Book Poetry
Prize for “Skin,” Lindner was nominated for a Pushcart
Prize and received the Prairie Schooner Reader’s Choice Award
in 1992. Her poetry has been published in The Paris Review, Prairie
Schooner, The Formalist, The Greensboro Review, and numerous other
literary journals.
