Literacy Workshops Offered
at UNH

DURHAM, N.H. -- Picturing Writing: Fostering Literacy Through Art™
and Image-Making Within The Writing Process™ will be offered
during the month of January on the campus of the University of New
Hampshire. These two art-and-literature-based approaches to writing
have been proven by research to dramatically improve student reading
and writing.
Elementary school teachers, language arts teachers, reading specialists,
art specialists, and special education teachers are encouraged to
attend. Classroom facilitation practices, classroom management,
and mini-lessons will be addressed in each of the workshops. The
workshop schedule is:

The workshops begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. The one-day
workshop is $150, the two-day workshops are $295, and the three-day
workshop is $375. Workshop fees include a comprehensive teachers'
