UNH Police Make Arrest on Behalf of Rochester Police

DURHAM, N.H. - University of New Hampshire Police today arrested Carl Sonne, 63, of Rochester, on charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault, which allegedly occurred in Rochester. Sonne is a part-time police officer with UNH Police.
He was arrested by UNH Police at 3:00 p.m., at the request of Rochester Police. He is to be arraigned in Rochester District Court on Saturday, August 16. The investigation is being conducted by the Rochester Police Department.
According to UNH Police Chief Nicholas Halias, Sonne has been terminated from the UNH Police Department.
