UNH Inauguration to be Broadcast Live on the Web Nov. 22

DURHAM, N.H. -- The installation of University of New Hampshire President Ann Weaver Hart Friday, Nov. 22, will be broadcast live on the Web courtesy of streaming video supplied by New Hampshire Public Television.

Visit the Web site www.unh.edu on the day of the event to view the ceremony, which is part of two days of inaugural events.

On Friday, the procession with President Hart begins at noon. The ROTC Color Guard and UNH Marching Band will lead the procession of robed faculty, delegates, academic leaders and others from the UNH community from the Thompson Hall Lawn to the Whittemore Center.

The installation ceremony begins at 1 p.m. at the Whittemore Center. Representatives of the university and Durham community will offer greetings. Stephen Reno, chancellor of the University System of New Hampshire, and John Lynch, chair of the USNH Board of Trustees, will bestow the presidential medal on Hart, after which she will present her inauguration address.

Following will be a reception featuring entertainment from the Oyster River Middle School Jazz Band.

Both the procession and installation will be broadcast live.
