DURHAM, N.H. An entire day will be devoted to clergy sexual abuse at the University of New Hampshire's biennial conference on the victimization of children and youth Aug. 4-7 at the Sheraton Harborside Hotel and Conference Center in Portsmouth.

"Victimization of Children & Youth: An International Research Conference" is sponsored by UNH's Family Research Laboratory (FRL) and Crimes Against Children Research Center (CCRC) as well as the National Institute for Victim Studies at Sam Houston State University. The conference will feature 185 presenters from around the world speaking on a range of issues, including children witnessing domestic violence, childhood loss in war, bullying, and child homicide.

In response to the controversy about clergy sexual abuse that has dominated local and national news, Tuesday, Aug. 6, will be devoted to seven speakers on the issue. They will discuss everything from sexual education in seminaries and adult male survivors, to long-term health implications and prevention.
