UNH Honors Veterans at Nov. 9 Ceremony

DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire Air Force and Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) will honor the nation's veterans with a ceremony Friday, Nov. 9.

The event begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Strafford Room of the Memorial Union Building with the recognition of five UNH graduates for their outstanding services to the university, state and country.

This year's honorees are Rear Admiral Richard H. O'Kane, '34; Major General John H. Jacobsmeyer, Jr., '52; Brigadier General John N. Dailey, '62; Colonel John B. Hammond, '49; and Lieutenant Colonel Carmen D. Ragonese, '49.

Following this recognition, the ROTC cadets will honor the nation's flag at 4 p.m. with a formal retreat ceremony in front of Thompson Hall.

The public is invited to both events.
