DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire's CEO Forum series will feature Andrew E. Lietz, executive chairman of the Clare Corporation, at the New England Center on the UNH campus in Durham Thursday, Nov. 15, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. A breakfast buffet begins at 8:30.
Lietz, of Rye, will talk about his journey through various stages of planning for retirement, opportunities for retired people to enrich their lives with both private and public service, and his own decision to return to the business world. His talk is titled, "From the Board Room to Retirement and Back Again."
Clare Corporation is a designer and manufacturer of mixed-signal and high-voltage integrated circuits, solid-state relays and electronic switches. In addition to serving as its executive chair, Lietz recently formed Rye Capital Management to provide capital and professional services to pre-IPO stage companies in the electronic and technology sectors. He was president and CEO of Hadco, a global manufacturer of electronic interconnect products and services, from 1995 until its merge with Sanmina Corp. last June. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit.
The UNH CEO Forum, initiated in 1997, is an outreach program for CEOs, presidents, and senior managers of companies in northern New England. It provides business leaders with an opportunity to meet with and learn from their peers in business and industry at quarterly breakfast meetings which address topics identified by chief corporate executives as key issues for the coming years. It is sponsored by the UNH Whittemore School of Business and Economics and the Division of Continuing Education.
