UNH Curtails Operations through Tuesday;
Contingency Plans Made for On-campus Students

DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire will curtail operations for non-essential staff at the Durham campus beginning at noon today, Monday, March 5, through Tuesday night at 10 p.m. University officials will decide by 10 p.m. tomorrow if the campus will reopen Wednesday morning. Faculty, students and staff may call 862-0000 after 10 p.m. to hear the latest announcement.

According to local weather reports, the Durham area could receive up to two feet of snow, with winds gusting to 50 mph.

Essential staff, such as dining hall workers and grounds workers, will be available. Students will be able to eat in the dining halls for brunch and dinner.

Basketball games scheduled through tomorrow have been postponed until Wednesday. A concert at the Whittemore Center slated for tomorrow night will be rescheduled.
