UNH Forum Explores How Non-Family Members Fit in the Family Business

DURHAM, N.H. -- The Center for Family Business at the University of New Hampshire presents a workshop on recruiting and retaining key non-family employees Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the New England Conference Center.

The Penley Forum, "Attracting, Retaining and Compensating Key Non-Family Managers," will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon, with registration and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. Lunch and networking will follow the forum.

The program will be led by attorney David Fries of Cleveland, Waters and Bass in Concord, and Christopher McLoon of Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker Certified Public Accountants in Manchester. They will discuss employment issues affecting family businesses and non-family managers, including legal, tax and accounting implications. In addition, a panel of key non-family managers and owners will share their experiences.

Center for Family Business sponsors are MassMutual, Fleet Bank, Genus Resources, Cleveland, Waters and Bass P.A., and Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker Certified Public Accountants.
