DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire Army and Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) will honor the nation's veterans with a ceremony Thursday, Nov. 9.
The event begins at 3 p.m. in the Strafford Room of the Memorial Union Building with the recognition of four UNH graduates for their outstanding services to the university, state and country.
This year's honorees are Colonel Alden Winn '37 and Major General Roland Lajoie '58 of the U.S. Army; and Colonel Gerald Helmich '54 and Colonel Amos Townsend '52 of the U.S. Air Force.
Following this recognition, the ROTC cadets will honor the nation's flag at 4 p.m. with a formal retreat ceremony in front of Thompson Hall.
The public is invited to both events.
