DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire dairy and equine programs will be hosting the 47th annual UNH Little Royal Equine and Dairy Show Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the L.V. Tirrell Indoor Riding Arena on the Durham campus.
The Little Royal showcases UNH students competing in the show ring with dairy cows and horses. Other events include a demonstration of Percheron draft horses by Justin Hussey of North Conway, and a presentation by the Yankee Teamsters 4-H club on working steer.
Both the UNH Dairy Teaching and Research Center and the Equine Center will be open for public tours.
A Cow Chip Bingo contest will run until the chip lands. Tickets are available through dairy and equine club members before the event, or may be purchased the day of the event for $2 per ticket or three for $5.
The Little Royal is free and open to the public. Refreshments and lunch will be sold, with proceeds supporting the UNH Dairy Club.
