DURHAM, N.H. -- The president of America's oldest flour company will be the guest speaker at a CEO Forum, presented by the University of New Hampshire Center for Family Business on Thursday, June 8.
Steve Voigt, president of King Arthur Flour, in Norwich, Vt., will discuss the company's employee ownership program and catalogue sales versus e-commerce. The forum runs from 9 to 10 a.m. at the New England Center, on the UNH campus. Continental breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m.
Voigt is the company's first president who is not a member of the Sands family, founders of King Arthur Flour more than 100 years ago. Voigt succeeded Frank Sands, who is now chairman of the board of directors, last July. The company has shifted from family business to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
Prior to becoming president, Sands was King Arthur's chief financial officer and, most recently, chief operating officer. He has played a pivotal role in the company's rapid growth in the 1990s and has seen the business grow to combined annual sales of $30 million.
Fleet Bank is the lead sponsor of the CEO Forum. To register, call 603-862-1190.
