With a strong background in operations, Kozlowski's various positions with the company include president of Tyco's Fire Protection, Flow Control and Disposable Products businesses, having more than 15 years as president of the various operating businesses.
In 1987, he was appointed to the Tyco Board of Directors, and was named president and chief operating officer in 1989. He has been CEO since 1992, and became chairman in 1993. Prior to his association with Tyco, Kozlowski held various managerial positions with SCM Corporation in New York City, and Cabot Corporation in Boston.
